A Place to gather in the heart of dalton
Riverside Public House
Continuing a Long Standing Tradition
Riverside Public House was built on a simple idea: continuing to serve great food, cold drinks, treat people well, and create a place where Dalton and the Berkshires can enjoy spending time together creating memories. We're proud to carry on the tradition of this longtime gathering place on Depot St while creating new memories for generations to come.
Our Story
Owner Robert Collins was a longtime regular at the pub that previously occupied this space on Depot Street. When it closed, the community felt the loss, and so did he. Robert decided to do something about it.
He opened Riverside with the same local pub spirit in mind. Robert worked with local partners like Holiday Brook Farm and Berkshire Mountain Distillery to keep things as close to home as possible. Chef Ryan McIntyre handles the kitchen, making everything in house, including the hand breaded chicken tenders and wood fired pizza.
The Chef
Chef Ryan McIntyre is a Berkshire native who discovered his passion for cooking at an early age before building his career in New York City, working alongside Michelin-starred chefs. He eventually returned home, bringing that experience to restaurants including the Red Lion Inn, Bistro Zinc, Nudel, and Bosquet.
His approach blends classic techniques with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, creating dishes that highlight the flavors of the Berkshires while respecting the what makes each season unique.
Our Philosophy
Good food starts with quality ingredients, careful preparation, and people who genuinely care about what they serve. That's why we work with local partners to serve the community and beyond the tastes of the Berkshires.
We believe the best restaurants become part of their community. They're where families and communities gather. They're where travelers can get a snapshot of a town. That's what Riverside Public House strives to be.
